Welcome to my I Keep a Child Alive fundraising page!

I am supporting Keep a Child Alive’s (KCA) work because I believe that all people have the right to access quality, dignified health care. Right now, only 28% of children living with HIV are able to access treatment.  I want to make sure that every child and adult living with or affected by HIV can get the medicine, care, and loving support they need to be healthy and have a bright future.

KCA was co-founded in 2003 by Alicia Keys and activist Leigh Blake as an emergency response to get children living with HIV the medicine they needed to stay alive. Ten years later, KCA’s core mission is unchanged and they have expanded their work to include comprehensive clinical care, psychosocial support, and food and nutritional support in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India.

KCA is unique because they believe that treating people with love and dignity is a central component of HIV care. Another thing I love about KCA is that they work with grassroots, women-led organizations that respond to community needs and help their local partners become self-sufficient.

Please help me reach my fundraising goal by donating and helping to spread the word to your friends and family. It costs just $30 a month for a child to receive the treatment, food, and care they need to stay healthy. Together, we can rally to make sure that EVERY child, teenager, and adult living with or affected by HIV gets the care and support they need and have a right to!

Thank you so much for your support.

In August 2005,I decided to sponsor a girl through Children International because I wanted to help a child in need.I chose a girl cause we all know girls have it the hardest and since I am a gender equality advocate,I wanted to give her an opportunity to go to school, just  be a child and I am very proud of that!

This year I want to help KCA by having my friends&family donate for my sponsored child Memory 13th birthday to this wonderful organizationI have been supporting for 5 yrs now and who is also celebrating their 10yrs anniversary

! I deeply care about children's living condition and health in poor countries and it breaks my heart to see them struggling to survive that's why I have been sponsoring a child from Zambia as well! I am not rich but I give what I can cause I care!So please consider donating for this cause, imagine all those children you will be helping by doing so,it will put a smile on their faces and give them hope cause you care about them!Togheter we can heal the world for children, keep a child alive!

Thanks!Merci beaucoup!

About

The Campaign:

I Keep a Child Alive

I Keep a Child Alive is your online tool for sharing your passions and raising funds.

The Organization:

Keep a Child Alive

Keep a Child Alive partners with grass-roots organizations to combat the physical, social and economic impact of HIV on children, their families and their Co-founded by Alicia Keys and long-time activist Leigh Blake, Keep a Child Alive was born in early 2003 as an emergency push to get life-saving HIV medications to impoverished African families, who otherwise would not have had access to treatment. Eleven years on, we continue to fight HIV and AIDS on the frontlines, partnering with grass-roots organizations to develop community-led initiatives to prevent new HIV infections, fight barriers to treatment and end discrimination. Working with our partners on the ground in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and India, we are currently impacting the lives of 50,000 people, who now join us in our efforts to raise awareness and take action. Together we are committed to realizing the end of AIDS. We hope you’ll join us.
